Familumen was created by a practicing family systems therapist
Julia Makarova is a family systems therapist with more than 20 years of clinical practice, a supervisor of the Russian Psychological Association, a lecturer, and a facilitator of professional groups.
Member of the Society of Family Counselors and Psychotherapists (Moscow) and the ProBono alliance.
Familumen grew out of Julia's real practice and her many years of work with client cases, family systems, and the professional thinking of psychologists.

Access to the account and the cases created earlier is kept: existing cases can be viewed, but new ones cannot be created and new sessions cannot be added to existing ones.
If you cancel the subscription, full access is kept until the end of the period already paid for. Unused days are not lost.
Frequently asked questions
Is Familumen only for family psychologists?
No. The service also suits psychologists who work with clients individually and want to broaden their way of understanding the work with a client through the family systems approach. Familumen can also be used in work with couples and families.
Can Familumen be wrong?
Yes. Familumen forms professional hypotheses; it does not establish an objective truth about the client, the couple, or the family. The conclusions require the psychologist's professional assessment.
What if I disagree with the hypothesis?
You can point out exactly what you disagree with, add your own observations to the case, or suggest a different interpretation. Familumen will take this information into account in further work with the hypothesis.
Can Familumen be used between supervisions?
Yes. The service can help you think the case through further, test the working hypothesis, structure observations, and formulate questions for further professional work. At the same time, Familumen does not make professional decisions instead of the specialist.
What happens after a new session?
You add the new material to the existing case. Familumen considers it in the context of the previous history and helps update the working hypothesis and the recommendations.
Is Familumen suitable for individual practice?
Yes. Even in work with a single client, their experiences, relationships, and difficulties can be considered in the context of the family system. Familumen helps broaden the individual case conceptualization through a systemic view.
Do I need to install a program?
No. Familumen works in the browser and does not require installing a separate program.
What client data can be entered into Familumen?
Only de-identified information needed for professional work with the case. Direct client identifiers and other data that would make it possible to identify the client directly should not be entered. More on the page “Security and confidentiality”.
Do I need to link a payment method for the trial period?
Yes. To activate the 10-day trial period, choose a plan and link a payment method. Familumen supports the payment methods available in the service, including the Faster Payments System (SBP).
When does the first charge happen?
The first charge happens after the 10-day trial period ends, on the terms of the chosen plan.
Can I cancel the subscription?
Yes. After cancelling the subscription, full access to Familumen is kept until the end of the period already paid for; unused days are not lost. After the paid period ends, you can still sign in and view existing cases, but cannot create new ones or add new sessions to existing ones.
